Today's Sky signal explained
Sky is on a daily SELL signal: the Supertrend (10, 3) indicator has been bearish for 10 days. The trailing stop line sits at $0.0704; a daily close above it would flip the indicator back to bullish, and a close above the 200-day average ($0.0666) would be needed for a full buy.
The weekly swing signal is SELL (flat). Sky would need a daily close above its 20-day high of $0.0733 to trigger a new breakout entry; this rule has been out of the market for 11 days.
The monthly position signal is SELL (flat) and has been for 9 days. A new entry requires a daily close above the 55-day high at $0.0733 — a level that historically marked the start of the larger trends in this market.
The yearly regime is CASH: either the price is below its 200-day moving average or that average is still falling. Long-term accumulation rules stay defensive until both conditions turn positive.
Momentum check: the 14-day RSI is at 58.6. MACD is below its signal line. ADX at 26.9 indicates a strong trend. Volume is 3.53× its 20-day average — a notable spike. Over the last 7, 30 and 90 days Sky has moved +12.9%, +15.8% and +19.6% respectively; it trades -22.3% from its 52-week high and +66.3% above its 52-week low.

About Sky
Following the Endgame restructuring approved by MakerDAO governance, the protocol rebranded as Sky in September 2024, introducing SKY as the successor governance token to MKR and USDS as an upgraded version of the DAI stablecoin. The underlying system is unchanged in spirit: users lock collateral, much of it now real-world assets and tokenised treasuries, to mint a dollar-pegged stablecoin, while governance sets stability fees and the savings rate. MKR converts to SKY at a fixed ratio of one to twenty-four thousand. SKY holders vote on risk parameters and can stake for rewards under the protocol's newer engagement programs.
The conversion mechanic is the single most important thing for a trader to internalise, because SKY's nominal unit price is roughly one twenty-four-thousandth of MKR's and any chart or comparison that mixes the two is misleading; the migration also created a long period where both tokens traded simultaneously with partial exchange-by-exchange support and eventual MKR delistings. Fundamentally, revenue depends heavily on short-term interest rates earned on real-world collateral, so SKY has historically been sensitive to rate expectations in a way most crypto assets are not. Governance has repeatedly used surplus to buy back and burn, linking supply directly to protocol earnings rather than a fixed emission schedule.
