Today's XRP signal explained
XRP is currently on a daily BUY signal: the Supertrend (10, 3) indicator flipped bullish 29 days ago and the price ($1.40) is trading above its 200-day simple moving average ($1.27). Both the short-term trend and the long-term regime filter agree, which is the only condition under which this system issues a daily buy.
The weekly swing signal is SELL (flat). XRP would need a daily close above its 20-day high of $1.45 to trigger a new breakout entry; this rule has been out of the market for 18 days.
The monthly position signal is SELL (flat) and has been for 9 days. A new entry requires a daily close above the 55-day high at $1.52 — a level that historically marked the start of the larger trends in this market.
The yearly regime is CASH: either the price is below its 200-day moving average or that average is still falling. Long-term accumulation rules stay defensive until both conditions turn positive.
Momentum check: the 14-day RSI is at 55.4. MACD is below its signal line. ADX at 35.3 indicates a strong trend. Volume is 1.50× its 20-day average. Over the last 7, 30 and 90 days XRP has moved +2.9%, +26.2% and +21.4% respectively; it trades -54.1% from its 52-week high and +40.5% above its 52-week low.

About XRP
XRP is the native asset of the XRP Ledger, a public blockchain that first went live in 2012 and was created by David Schwartz, Jed McCaleb and Arthur Britto. The ledger does not use proof-of-work or staking; it settles through a federated consensus protocol run by a set of validators, which gives it fast, cheap settlement and a fixed pre-mined supply rather than block rewards. Its intended use case has always been cross-border value transfer and bridging between currencies. It is important to separate the asset from Ripple, the private company that holds a large XRP position and builds payment software around the ledger; the two are related but not the same thing.
For traders, two structural facts dominate. First, Ripple holds a large XRP allocation in on-chain escrow that releases on a scheduled monthly basis, with unused portions typically re-escrowed, so supply overhang is a recurring discussion point. Second, the SEC sued Ripple in December 2020 over XRP sales; a 2023 court ruling held that programmatic exchange sales were not securities transactions while institutional sales were, and the litigation was wound down in 2025. XRP historically trades in long flat stretches punctuated by violent legal- and listing-driven repricings, so its correlation with Bitcoin breaks down around news events far more than most large caps.
