Today's Cardano signal explained
Cardano is currently on a daily BUY signal: the Supertrend (10, 3) indicator flipped bullish 1 day ago and the price ($0.2244) is trading above its 200-day simple moving average ($0.2148). Both the short-term trend and the long-term regime filter agree, which is the only condition under which this system issues a daily buy.
The weekly swing signal is BUY. Cardano broke above its 20-day closing high 1 day ago and has not yet closed below its 10-day low (currently $0.1954). A close under that level would end the swing position.
The monthly position signal is BUY. Cardano cleared its 55-day closing high 47 days ago. The exit for this slower rule is a close below the 20-day low, now at $0.1927.
The yearly regime is CASH: either the price is below its 200-day moving average or that average is still falling. Long-term accumulation rules stay defensive until both conditions turn positive.
Momentum check: the 14-day RSI is at 60.6. MACD is below its signal line. ADX at 25.8 indicates a strong trend. Volume is 1.61× its 20-day average. Over the last 7, 30 and 90 days Cardano has moved +8.7%, +19.9% and +37.4% respectively; it trades -74.9% from its 52-week high and +56.1% above its 52-week low.

About Cardano
Cardano launched its mainnet in 2017 under Charles Hoskinson and the development entity Input Output, with the Cardano Foundation and Emurgo alongside it. It runs the Ouroboros proof-of-stake protocol, uses an extended UTXO accounting model rather than Ethereum's account model, and writes smart contracts in Plutus, with the research-first, peer-reviewed development style the project is known for. Delivery has come in named eras: Shelley brought decentralized staking, Alonzo brought smart contracts in 2021, and later work has focused on scaling and on-chain governance. ADA is the network's fee token, the asset delegated to stake pools for rewards, and, under the Voltaire governance framework, the voting weight in the on-chain treasury system.
ADA has a hard cap of 45 billion, with the remaining unissued portion released gradually through staking rewards drawn from a reserve, so emissions decay over time rather than ending at a cliff. Nearly all of the supply is already circulating and much of it is staked, which historically dampens sudden float shocks compared with newer tokens on vesting schedules. Price behaviour has been closely tied to broad altcoin beta and to Bitcoin's direction, with additional sensitivity to development milestones and to Hoskinson's public statements. ADA was also named in the SEC's 2023 complaints against exchanges, an episode that produced sharp regulatory-headline drawdowns.
