About JUST
JUST began as the lending and stablecoin arm of the TRON ecosystem, launching in 2020 with backing associated with Justin Sun's TRON network. Its original product issued USDJ, a collateral-backed stablecoin minted against locked TRX in a MakerDAO-style collateralized debt position system. The project later expanded into JustLend, a pooled money market for lending and borrowing TRON-based assets, which became the dominant DeFi venue on that chain, along with a cross-chain bridge and a stablecoin swap product. JST is the governance token of the platform, used for voting on protocol parameters and fee-related decisions and distributed through platform incentives.
JST's supply is capped in the low billions with the bulk already circulating, so the main variable is not emissions but demand for TRON DeFi activity. Its price has historically tracked TRX and the broader TRON ecosystem far more tightly than it tracks Bitcoin, which makes it a concentrated bet on a single chain and, indirectly, on the reputation and regulatory standing of that chain's founder.
